- Water Resources (3 vacancies)
– Qualification: M.E/M.Tech in Civil Engineering (with specialization in Water Resources/Hydrology/Soil & Water Conservation) or Agriculture Engineering (with specialization in Water Resources/Hydrology/Soil & Water Conservation) or Water Resources Engineering (with specialization in Water Resources/Hydrology/Soil & Water Conservation) with B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering/Agriculture Engineering.
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ Post code 16 (3 vacancies)
– Qualification: M.E/M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS/Geoinformatics or equivalent with B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering/Agriculture Engineering.
Applicants are required to have an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in their M.E/M.Tech, with a pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/B.Tech having an aggregate minimum of 65% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10-point scale. Candidates with AMIE must have a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone.
Nature of Job
Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ – Geoinformatics
Scientists in this discipline will have the opportunity to contribute to geospatial technologies for thematic disciplines such as Agriculture and Soils, Water, Forestry, Disaster Management, Geology, Urban and Rural Development. The focus will be on addressing challenging areas to provide solutions for Sustainable Development Goals using geospatial technologies.
Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ – Water Resources
Professionals in this field will be involved in the development of Urban Flood Models, flood mitigation studies, surface water quality analysis, understanding of bathymetry, catchment analysis, basin characteristics, and urban water body dynamics using remote sensing data from current and future missions.
Salary and Application Process
The selected candidates will be designated as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ and will be placed in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC, with a salary range of ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500.
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable Application Fee of ₹250/- for each application. However, initially, all candidates must uniformly pay ₹750/- per application as a Processing fee.
