🎓 Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess any one of the following:
B.Sc/B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Kerala University or equivalent)
B.E. (Civil) from Madras University or any recognized equivalent
AMIE (Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers – Civil)
Pass in Sections A & B of the AMIE in Civil Engineering
Additionally, any higher or equivalent qualifications recognized by executive/government orders will also be considered, provided relevant documentation is submitted when required.

Selected candidates may be required to serve for a minimum of 4 years in the Defence Services or on assignments related to national defence. However, this applies only within the first 10 years of service and is usually not applicable to Assistant Engineers above 40 years of age.
