SSC JE 2026 Civil Engineering Vacancies

Age Relaxation

SSC JE 2026 Application Steps

  1. Visit the official SSC website.
  2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website.
  3. Log in using the registered credentials.
  4. Select Junior Engineer Examination, 2026.
  5. Enter the required personal, educational and communication details.
  6. Choose the relevant Junior Engineer Civil post preferences.
  7. Capture a live photograph through the application module.
  8. Upload the scanned signature in the prescribed format.
  9. Preview the complete application and verify all details.
  10. Pay the applicable examination fee.
  11. Submit the application and save a copy for future reference.

Candidates should note that an OTR created on the old SSC website will not be valid. A fresh OTR must be completed on ssc.gov.in.

Photograph and Signature Requirements

The application system will capture a real-time photograph of the candidate. While taking the photograph:

  • Use a well-lit location with a plain background.
  • Keep the camera at eye level.
  • Look directly at the camera.
  • Ensure the entire face is clearly visible.
  • Do not wear a cap, mask, glasses or spectacles.

The scanned signature must be uploaded in JPEG format, with a file size between 10 KB and 20 KB. The recommended signature dimensions are approximately 6 cm × 2 cm.

SSC JE 2026 Application Fee

The application fee is ₹100.

The following candidates are exempted from paying the fee:

  • SC candidates
  • ST candidates
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
  • Eligible Ex-Servicemen

Candidates must verify that their payment status is successful. Applications remaining incomplete due to non-receipt of the fee will be rejected.

Application Correction Charges

Candidates can correct and resubmit their application during the correction window.

  • First correction and resubmission: ₹200
  • Second correction and resubmission: ₹500

Only candidates whose completed applications were received within the original application period can use the correction facility.
